Adele Is Having A Hard Time Writing Her New Album Because She's 'Too Happy'

Most of Adele's biggest catalog highlights like "Hello" and "Someone like You" revolve around heartbreak and sorrow but, according to a new report, the pop singer/songwriter is having a hard time writing the follow-up to 25 because she's apparently "too happy."

In an interview with the Daily Star, Fatboy Slim shared the insight on the pop star, revealing that she's struggling to pen material for her next album. "Adele told me how she’s having difficulty writing her fourth LP," he confessed. "She said: 'I write all my best songs when I'm depressed, and I'm just really happy now.'" Fatboy Slim lives next door to Adele and admitted that the pair often gets together for chats about music.

Adele recently wrapped up her "25 World Tour," but had to cancel her final concerts at Wembley Stadium in the UK due to vocal issues. In a handwritten letter to fans, the superstar hinted that she may never hit the road again. "I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artists have had on me live," she wrote. "And I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home."
