Halsey Honors Late Rapper Juice WRLD With Symbolic Tattoo

Halsey’s newest tattoo pays homage to the late rapper Juice WRLD.

This week, the singer-songwriter gave fans a look at some new body ink she got in Juice's memory.

Halsey took to Instagram to debut some meaningful artwork, which features “Life’s a mess 999” written in cursive font on the back of her hand. The message symbolizes not only the “You Should Be Sad” singer’s posthumous collaboration with the departed musician (“Life’s A Mess”), but also makes use of Juice’s favorite number, which he explained means making good of something bad.

As fans know, the "Lucid Dreams" star passed away at the age of 21 after suffering a seizure on December 8, 2019, at an airport in Chicago. Following his untimely death, his mother, Carmela Wallace even launched a "999" charity foundation in his memory to help young people suffering from mental health struggles.

"Juice was one of the greatest people I have ever known, and one of the most brilliant artists we will ever live to witness,” Halsey wrote with a pic of her new ink on Instagram. “A true genius who had lyric and melody spilling out of him without any second thought or hesitation. And a beautiful soul who believed in spreading love and creating a community for people to feel less alone.”

"It means everything to me that I could be a part of this album. I cried the first time that I heard it,” she concluded with love, referring to the track she recorded for Juice’s forthcoming posthumous project, Legends Never Die, which includes a trove of songs he'd worked on before his death.

Juice WRLD’s newest album drops this Friday, July 10. In the meantime, listen to "Life's A Mess" above.
