People were not happy about a month ago when news hit that the Showbox had been obtained by a property group out of Vancouver to be torn down in order to build new residences.
A petition quickly started to #SavetheShowbox and now the city council has voted to support the protests of the people!
Today they voted unanimously to include the Showbox in the historic Pike Place area, conserving the Showbox until at least June of next year!
