In another effort to maximize our social distancing, the city has began closing parking lots at local beaches and parks to encourage people to maintain their social distance to stop the spread of the COVID19 virus.
While people are still encouraged to get out and get some exercise at the beaches and parks, their hopes are that this will keep people from gathering in large groups and give people the ability to exercise safely.
The following parking lots at beaches and parks that are closed UFN are: Green Lake, Lincoln, Golden Gardens, Seward Park, Magnuson Park, Gas Works, Alki Beach, and Discovery
All Seattle beaches will now be closed for gatherings.
